Exciting Formations & Personnel Packages for 2024!!!
Beautiful work
Monk is to me the big question in this equation. He has a ton of experience and can push Rhyan or Myers for a spot. I ultimately think it will be the starters from last year and the continuity will be instant (unlike last year). That doesn't mean Morgan or Monk can't break into the starting five, but I think familiarity with the guys from last year should win out in camp. Myers does show great command of the pre snap calls and checks. He did play pretty damn good down the stretch and yes he did have some issues at times but he overall was solid. He and Love have really controlled this offense and peaked in the playoffs. I do think Walker deserves to be the starting LT unless Morgan is just too good to not start. I see Morgan at LG this year if anything and move Jenkins to RG.
Josh was pissed since day one last year, he didn't get his big extension after leading the NFL in rushing. He missed some camp and was not a happy camper. Then the offense was dysfunctional at best. He's a dynamic RB with exceptional skills. He will have a new lease on life and his career. He's already gleaming with confidence and optimism. With Love and our WRs and TEs it will definitely open up the box. If he gets the majority of carries he will easily get 1200 yards and 40 receptions. I'm thinking he'll end up with 1500 to 1800 total yards and 10 TDs. That's just what the doctor ordered. Now if they start to feature Lloyd more as the season goes, this could effect his final numbers. If that does occur, this will be the best duo in the NFL. I kinda hope that happens so they will both be fresh for the playoffs. He will help this offense regardless of his usage as a whole. He'll fit right in immediately.
As a diehard Packers fan, I still don’t like this move. I can’t shake the gut feeling he’s washed and see so many SB winning teams de-prioritizing RB- makes me think we would’ve been better off just doing something like rookie + bargain bin vet RB
Part of it is carries! Matt will get away from the running game a little to much, during certain games. Which will affect Jacobs overall stats over the season. Yards per carry, and receptions will be important stats, over the season for all Packer RB's.
I think jacobs and loyd have a huge year. Coach Matt wants to run the ball this is the best o-line and blacking scheme Jacobs has ever had. I wish we could have kept jones too but im excited for this season.
800 rushing yards with missed games is pretty good to me
It’s even more impressive when you have no line or wide receivers blocking for you…
It is possible that Jacobs peaked and last year's performance is more on brand of what we will get. However, I would definitely take the gamble of his arrow pointing up rather than sideways or down based off of the situation change. RB performance is the most effected position in the NFL by their offensive situation. There will be on average 1 less man up in the box per play in GB than what he saw last year on the Raiders. There are a number of other possible factors but I don't want to create a wall of text.
I don’t think he peaked at all. I think he’s gonna have the best seasons in packers modern day running back history. He’s gonna get atleast 4 receiving tds to get his career total to 4. That raiders team was a complete joke. Van roten was their best lineman….
your outfit screams girly
It would sure be awesome if Josh Jacobs came in healthy, stayed healthy, and ended up being a really good, diverse all-purpose back. Strong/quick/decisive enough to run well between tackles. Decisive enough and quick enough to do well with some outside runs, too. Strong/powerful/decisive for converting short-yardage 1st downs and TD’s. A really good pass receiver. A really good pass blocker. A good running back for 4th quarter drives when Matt Lafluer is trying to run clock. Hopefully being on a new and a winning team with a healthy and happy culture will be super energizing for him, that can often happen to players. Hopefully the OLine will extend some of the improved run-blocking they showed late last season. I think if our run blocking is automatically upgraded even if it’s Sean Rhyan this year. Pass blocking was always gonna take a hit losing Runyan, but I think the offense is really becoming the Matt Lafluer offense for the 1st time, and I’m really excited to see it. Josh Jacobs is going to have a big year for us. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛
Josh jacobs with a legitimate QB in jordan will be GREAT to watch, Just like many other players who LEAVE the raiders Josh will revitalize his career with the Packers. Go Pack Goooo
GO PACK GOOO
Other than the last five games of the season, our running game was not good. If our offense opens running lanes like those last five games, Jacobs and Lloyd and even Dillon will go off.
lol.. I can't taste training camp and I'm good with that.. I'm curious what a Packers training camp would taste like.. some variety of cheese and beer?.. GPG 🧀
GO PACK GOOOO
hell ya go packers
He’s set up to be a stop gap for Lloyd. I’m cool with that.
I really hope Bo can have a very long career with the Packers. Its is a feel good story and with his attitude, well deserved.
A winning environment can really help a guys outlook. Jacob's will be no different. I actually think he will get more carries compared to how many Jones got in Green Bay. I'm pretty sure he won't see that many 7 or 8 man boxes. I don't view him as a bell cow for this offense. I really want him to be effective and efficient on 3rd downs.
GO PACK GOOOO
Play action with Jacob’s will be huge
Awesome breakdown!
Yooo i love the packers going to the family night on agu 3rd cant wait go pack gooooo
Andy, are there any players on our roster without question marks?
no, there's at best only 5-10 such guys in the league
as a guy who watched like half of raiders season cause their games worked well with my schedule and of cource because of Davante Adams i agree with Andy,Jacobs wasn't terrible, but wasn't great either, he looked like 20-30% upgraded AJ Dillon i.e not really explosive guy who needs volume of carries to be good. And with this style i highly doubt that he'll return to 2022 form in GB knowing that MLF will never give him those needed carries, like he pretty much never gave it to Jones or Dillon
GO PACK GOOOO
Jacob's deal is perfect for the Packers. If Dillon rebounds, great, if not the 2025 RB class has alot of guys, in the Packers RB profile.
Nice, I've been looking forward to this. I did not watch every snap, but I did watch at least 5 highlight compilations so am primed. One thing I hardly saw at all in his time on the Raiders was full speed motion at the snap. In particular something like a WR coming across on a Jet Sweep fake one way with Jacobs getting the handoff the other way. 6 man boxes with defenders off balance because of a fake could make this easy mode for Jacobs. One other thing I noticed with the Raiders is their WRs do not excel at run blocking. Most didn't really try, and even more rarely were they successful. With the blocking our WRs do, he is gonna be in heaven.
Go PACK GOOOO
Yeah was always my biggest knock on adams he never blocked .
I really like option 3 - Walker, Morgan, Myers, Jenkins, and Tom.
I don't know why people keep mentioning Andre Dillard. He isn't very good, and I don't even think he will make the 53 man roster to start the season.
Melton reminds me of Donald Driver and not just because of the shared numerals. It's the effort. He has good hangs, nimble feet and runs solid routes. He's a relentless gamer.
Line up #7 for 2025 ? 🙂↕️
What a happy thought to end on!!! 💚💛💚
my starting 5 from left to right , bakhtiari, Morgan, tom, Jenkins, walker
Bakhtiari is gone
Or D-bakh
I like the one with Walker, Morgan, Meyers, Jenkins, Tom from left to right. Then trade Royce Newman to the USFL (because we HAVE to always bash Royce Newman) for a hot pretzel stand.
Been saying since we grabbed him his rookie year that he needs to play, and I'll be damned that boy can PLAY
I think Love's contract offer should be 5 years for 260 million, with 150 million guaranteed. I think that would be fair to both sides.
Zack Tom should be the left tackle for the next 5-7 years. Put him there and forget about it.
Walker LT Jenkins LG Tom C Morgan RG Dillard RT
Nice hoodie
I would want to start the season with option 3: Walker, Morgan, Myers, Jenkins, Tom. By the end of the season hopefully Monk and Jenkins are center and rg in some combination.
I think if Tom goes to center, it's more likely Myers goes to right guard. My guess is Walker, Jenkins, Myers, Morgan, Tom
Hell of a episode Andy hell of a episode
Walker,Jenkins,Myers,Rhyan,Morgan
You seem to forgot their best lineman
Why do you think Dillard is a lock? He’s been a cluster his entire career. And Morgan needs to play, somewhere. He’s a first round pick.
First round pick doesn’t just guarantee you a starting spot on any lineup. He’ll have the whole season to fight for the job if Dillard does start. No point rushing out an o lineman who needs more time to get polished. This isn’t just some throw away season where we can just start people for trial through fire scenarios. This is the first year of a new Super Bowl window for the packers
@@kingkermit0118 If we’ve learned anything this past year it’s that guys need to play to get better.
Def didn’t say Dillard was a lock. He will have to fight for his spot on the team.
Option 3 is the best, unless someone kills camp
As of now, I'd keep the same starting five as last year. Make the big line shuffle next season. By that time it will be known if Meyers is still around and if Rhyan is a worthy starter.
Heading into training camp, the only 2 starters are guaranteed for the Green Bay Packers offensive line in 2024: Zach Tom and Elgton Jenkins. Zach Tom will start at right tackle, a position where he excelled by holding former Defensive Player of the Year T.J Watt, former All-Pro Cameron Jordan, and Pro-Bowler Aidan Hutchinson to just 9 QB pressures over 125 pass-blocking snaps. Elgton Jenkins is likely to start at left guard, where he allowed 0 sacks in 544 pass-blocking snaps last season. Rasheed Walker was the best tackle last year not named Trent Williams in pass block win ratio, and he should be on track to open the season as Green Bay’s starting left tackle, though he will face competition from Jordan Morgan in training camp and preseason. Jordan Morgan struggled during the early portion of QTA’s and minicamp, which was expected for a rookie, giving Rasheed Walker a slight edge in the battle for the position. The Green Bay Packers invested high draft capital on Jordan Morgan, and the best way to develop offensive linemen isn’t to keep them on the sidelines. Jordan Morgan needs playing time, even though he will inevitably face struggles as a rookie. Unless if Zach Tom or Rasheed Walker is injured, Jordan Morgan could see his 1st NFL action at right guard. However, he has no experience playing that position in college, so Green Bay will proceed cautiously before placing him in an unfamiliar role. Josh Meyers will head into training camp as the Green Bay Packers starting center, but his job security for 2024-25 is on the line. He is in the final year of his rookie deal, and it appears that, at this point, we already know what Josh Meyers is: average. If Jordan Morgan proves to be at least a reliable player at guard, the Packers could easily shift Elgton Jenkins to center and play Jordan Morgan at left guard. Elgton Jenkins played about 297 snaps at center in 2020, including 3 full games solely in that position. In those games, his average pass-blocking grade and run-blocking grade were 76.1 and 66.5, respectively, both better than any grade Josh Meyers has achieved in his career. The right guard position is the most intriguing on the Packers offensive line. Who starts there in week 1 against Philadelphia is anyone’s guess. It could be Jordan Morgan if the Packers decide to keep Josh Meyers at center and Elgton Jenkins at left guard. Alternatively, Sean Rhyan has shown flashes as a run-blocker but needs further refinement in pass protection. Andre Dillard played over 50 snaps at guard for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022 and could also compete for the job in training camp and preseason. Green Bay might even consider trying Josh Meyers at guard, despite all his career snaps coming at center. Rookies Jacob Monk, and Donovan Jennings being great and could also be in contention. Given Jordan Morgan’s talent and athleticism, the most plausible option seems to be trying him out at right guard, although Matt Lafluer previously indicated that Jordan Morgan would start his NFL career at left tackle. Rasheed Walker and Zach Tom are likely to open as starting tackles for the Green Bay Packers in 2024. Elgton Jenkins is expected to play at left guard, and the Packers still appear to trust Josh Meyers at center. Despite Jordan Morgan not having played his 1st NFL snap yet, he is the most talented among the remaining offensive linemen. However, it remains uncertain whether the Packers would consider starting him at guard. The probable ideal “best 5” would have Rasheed Walker and Zach Tom on the outside, with Elgton Jenkins, Josh Meyers, and Jordan Morgan inside. Keep an eye on Jacob Monk, who could potentially challenge for Green Bay’s starting center position. Jacob Monk feels like the type is steal the Packers usually have with offensive linemen in the later rounds of the 2024 NFL draft. He is athletic, versatile, and allowed just 1 sack in 343 pass-blocking snaps last year at Duke. If Green Bay figures out where Jordan Morgan can contribute immediately, if Josh Meyers can work on his consistency, and if everyone stays healthy, we should feel confident that our team could have a top-3 offensive line this 2024-25 NFL season. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛
Monk played the majority of his college career at right guard. He is also considered a strong possibility to start at center in the NFL. He could progress quickly he'd be ideal to fill 1 of the 2 roles weakest on this line. Go Pack Go!
Ya that myers over Humphrey pick has to be guteys worst.
That's one outta 2 picks that left me absolutely pissed off beyond recognition that Gute has made that really got to me. That's the only way I can explain it. It was like the perfect gift, wrapped up in a basket with a bow on it. He wasn't supposed to slip to 62 and we all knew Center was the pick and they announced the pick and it's Myers😩 Gute was trying to get cute and draft someone with versatility and he picked Myers instead of picking a Center with a 10 RAS and every major award given at that position in college. Myers didn't even participate in the combine. Makes it even worse thinking back. And KC gets Humphrey next pick and the rest is history.
You guys keep talking about Jenkins how good he is but really he has been mediocre since his rookie year. Got hurt and really hasn't been the same guy.
Inaccurate
Doug you may be the dumbest packers fan of all time.
I don’t think he allowed a sack last year lol
Maybe he was better once, but pff has him rank 16 in 2023, Andy's grading gives him a decent score and second best packer ol of 2023. I don't notice lineman unless they're making mistakes, so I'll defer to people who watch the all 22 on every play watching a specific player.
He didn’t allow a sack all of last year, the injury hurt him but he is himself still. Talking about something you don’t know.
Could Josh Myers play rg? Go Morgan, Jenkins, Tom, Myers, Walker?
